About Shamanism

Shamanism is an ancient spiritual system, elements of which are found in every society throughout the world.

Shamanism DrumShamanic practices are found at the core of traditions of native peoples everywhere, from Native American Indians, to the Sami peoples of Lapland, to our own Celtic ancestors. Shamanic work acknowledges and honours the presence of Spirit in all things, the connectedness of all things, the oneness of all things.

The renewal of interest in Shamanic work is a sign of people’s increasing awareness that we are not separate from our environment – we are not separate from each other. And so the cycle comes full circle. We return to those practices and rituals that honour and recognise the spirit that is present in all things and in so doing honours and recognises the spirit that is in us all.

Who can benefit from Shamanic work?

The answer is quite simply, everybody. There are times when we all need a little extra help.

Very often during difficult experiences our soul can become fragmented, and we may feel that somewhere along the way we have lost who we are. In Shamanic Soul Retrieval work, for example, the soul fragment is returned home and we are restored.

In my Feng Shui and Space Clearing work I journey with my Spirit Guides to the Spirit of a place to find out “Straight form the horse’s mouth” as it were, what that particular space needs. In this way the consultation is tailor made to your space.

Therapists from all disciplines can use Shamanic work to deepen their own practices. Working with the spirit of a healing plant or aromatherapy oil brings an added dimension to the work.
